What is NYSARC, Inc.?
NYSARC, Inc. is the largest not-for-profit organization in the country that serves individuals who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families. It is comprised of 55 county-based chapters throughout New York State. NYSARC, Inc. provides advocacy at the state level while chapters, such as The Arc Otsego, provide services, support, programs and advocacy at the local level. Taken together, NYSARC chapters support 60,000 people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities throughout New York State.
What does it Mean to Be a Member?
Being a member of The Arc Otsego is one way to show that you care about the needs and progress of people with developmental disabilities. Your membership is added to memberships of all the chapters to give NYSARC a powerful voice in advocating at the state level for the needs and desires of people with developmental disabilities. NYSARC, Inc. currently has 87,000 members! Further, $9 of a $10 membership stays with The Arc Otsego to help support unfunded services to people with developmental disabilities and their families in Otsego County.
