A summer focus on sculpture, coupled with a year’s exploration of the depths of individual self expression, yielded Face to Face– a collection of work that organically developed into themes of the face and head.  Through additive and subtractive sculpture and portraiture, Face to Face  reveals a deeper understanding of ourselves and the people we see everyday.  Face to Face opens with a reception on September 12, 2008 from 5-7 pm and runs until December 1, 2008.  For more information call 607.432.1890.

About the Poster Cover Art

Untitled (paper mache and acrylic paint). Led by gallery coach Heidi Stanton, the poster cover piece “Untitled” represents the culmination of a journey of discovery and creation by Center for Self Expression artists Michele Stedman, Vincent Devine, Anne Holahan, Tim Sullivan, Linda McCord and John Hartman.  The result—a two-faced mythological wonder!
