Bus Driver Located in Hartwick, NY. Transport individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to various sites throughout the county. Hours are 6:45am - 9:45am and 2pm - 5pm Monday through Friday. Must have a High School diploma, GED, or college degree. Clean CDL license and eligible for 19A Certification and pass a DOT drug test and physical. One full time regular position available and one full time temporary position available. Certified Nursing Assistant A non-traditional opportunity for the CNA seeking a position outside the hospital setting providing services to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include medication administration and direct medical care. Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License, High School diploma or GED and have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Positions available in Otego and South New Berlin.
Direct Support Providers Current openings for Direct Support Providers to assist persons who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities living in a residential setting. Part-time and full-time positions available in Otego and South New Berlin. Minimum Qualifications: A High School diploma, GED or CNA is required. Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work nights and weekends, no day hours available.
Job Coach Seeking applicants who are interested in providing job coaching services and supports to people that have developmental and intellectual disabilities. This will include: on site assessments, support to improve work behavior and enhance work related socialization skills, and skills training. Will also develop an ongoing relationship with community employers, schools, and other advocates and assist individuals in making the transition from school to work to the community. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and at least one year of experience in the delivery of services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
LPN / Shift Coordinator A non-traditional opportunity in Otego, NY for the LPN seeking a position outside the hospital setting providing services to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include medication administration, direct medical care and instruction under the supervision of the Health Services Coordinator. Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work nights and weekends.
Residential Habilitation Assistant Seeking applications to provide assistance and support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities within their homes in Otsego County for afternoons, evenings and weekends. Duties will include teaching daily living, recreational and social skills. Applicant must have their own reliable transportation, a high school diploma or GED and a valid NYS driver's license.
Vocational Counselor Coordination of the vocational program plans for approximately 27-32 individuals, and ensures that the plans meet the vocational, physical, social and developmental needs of each vocational trainee at our vocational training center. Also ensure that each vocational plan is developed to adequately protect each trainee's health, dignity, safety, comfort, and well-being, as well as each trainee's civil, human, and legal rights. Will help develop and write "Prevocational Habilitation Plans", collect/analyze/evaluate data, conduct assessments, train support staff and support vocational center trainees on a daily basis to help them attain their personal goals and valued outcomes. Must be willing to work in a team environment and gave good social skills. Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field, one year of experience work with people with developmental disabilities and the ability to frequently lift 50 pounds. Also must have a valid NYS driver's license.
