Family Supports
The Arc Otsego offers families assistance in accessing needed services, programs and supports through:

• Service coordination: Assistance to people with developmental disabilities in gaining access to necessary services and supports appropriate to their needs.
• Respite: Temporary relief of care giver duties and responsibilities
• Skill training assistance
• Parent training
• Environmental modifications
• Adaptive technologies

Guardianship
Guardianship is a planning alternative to ensure the continuity of care for family members who are mentally retarded.

Guardianship is a legal proceeding in the Surrogate's Court which designates a parent, relative, friend, or an organization such as NYSARC to act on behalf of an individual who is mentally retarded and unable to manage personal affairs without assistance. The NYSARC, Inc. Corporate Guardianship program was established in 1970 offering a permanent commitment to parents to ensure the continuity of care and protection for the entire life of their family member who is mentally retarded.

Residential Services
The goal of Residential Services of The Arc Otsego is to provide the highest standard of care to those people receiving our services to ensure that they are satisfied, healthy and secure. We offer a variety of community-based living arrangements that promote the most independence in self-care possible and are tailored to the needs, desires and abilities of the individual including:

• Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s)
• Community Residences
• Supervised Apartments
• Supportive Apartments
• Services provided within the individual’s own home.

Day Services
The Arc Otsego offers a variety of day services that offer structured activities and supports provided in natural settings or chapter facilities to promote independence, inclusion, choice, self-esteem and skill development including:

• Day Habilitation
• Day Treatment
• Clinical Services

Vocational Services
The Arc Otsego provides a wide array of employment, training and evaluation services to individuals 21 years and older including:

• Vocational Rehabilitation
• Sheltered Employment at the Vocational Work Center
• Community Employment
• Clinical Services: psychology, speech, occupational therapy, nursing

Business Services through the Vocational Work Center

The Arc Otsego is a full service subcontractor. We have the capability of sourcing raw materials, establishing production methods, and offering fulfillment service. We have two climate controlled facilities with over 30,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space equipped with compressed air.

In addition, we have over 20,000 square feet of warehousing space with four loading docks (including a ground level doc). We have over 160 individuals available to meet your toughest challenges.
