Main View Gallery & Studio began life as The Center for Self Expression – a place where we celebrate the creative power of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities by creating opportunities for self expression through the visual, performing, media and literary arts. By working with our richly talented and diverse local arts community, and with the support of talented, caring staff, Main View Gallery is able to offer a wide variety of professionally led artistic opportunities. All creative learning opportunities and supports are tailored to the needs, desires and talents of each artist.

In addition to art-based programming, artists at MVG are encouraged to be psychically active through participation in yoga and dance and movement classes, fitness training, and healthy cooking classes to promote overall health and wellness.

Main View Gallery studio artists have experienced success in a variety of venues including art exhibits, plays and performances, publications, and talent shows. Many have sold work at a variety of exhibitions and through Main View Gallery’s gift shop.

Main View Gallery & Studio opens four exhibits each year and is host to varied musical performances, community meetings and art classes throughout the year.
